Zusammenfassung
Dankt für Thompsons freundlichen Rat. Mr. Taylor hat sein London Office informiert und schlägt folgendes Telegramm an Hull vor: »We turn to you for the Sake of Humanity to help and probably save the life of the German refugees in Prague who are ordered to leave Czechoslovakia before next Tuesday alternative to extradition to Germany. These men and women who in most cases are even without passport and among whom there are many important writers artists and scientists are in imminent danger of life. Therefore we beg you to help us in any way you see fit in order to procure for those threatened people at least a respite long enough to arrange for them regular immigration into another country. Thanking you for any help in this matter sincerely signed Albert Einstein and Thomas Mann«
